I both hate summaries and I'm bad at them. Most of the time my fic is so short that a summary(even a line from the story) feels like one of those trailers that gives everything away, so what's the point of watching/reading? Or it just feels clinical and uninspired.
I pic my fic mostly by tag and pairing now, or I go with authors I trust so an 'I suck at summaries' wouldn't keep me from reading, though a snazzy line from the fic has captured my attention for something I'd automatically pass over.
