Is there anything that you think makes your writing distinctive? That is, are there themes you return to over and over, are there phrases you use frequently? Could someone spot that this was your story if it was anonymous?

I'm not sure that my writing is particularly distinctive. It's so hard to tell about one's own writing. I tend to write a lot of different fandoms, too, and only repeat fandoms occasionally. I suspect that my writing in Weiss Kreuz and The Chronicles of Narnia is more likely to be distinctive just because there's more of it to look at and compare.

I do like to explore occasions and fandoms where there aren't any obviously right choices. I'm interested in the compromises people will make to get by and in how people cope after the big events have happened.

I'm not sure if there is anything distinctive about my writing, except maybe that I am careful that certain characters never use contractions when they speak. Also, I have written one character so often that I suspect that people know it's me when that character turns up as the featured hero in a story!
