Hello on Monday!  What kind of a writing day has it been today?

•     I did something else that I'll talk about in a comment

For Discussion:  What is the oddest (or funnest) thing you've had to research for a fic?

I needed to know how fast something floating on water with a current would take from Point A to Point B, so I did experiments with twigs in a stream and a stop watch when I was out for a walk one day.  It was informative and fun, and helped my story along nicely!

I am having an unexpectedly crazy day with Real Life throwing me a bunch of curve balls, so I'm not even thinking about fic at the moment.
