Anyone who writes the same fandom more than once may find themselves writing the same character more than once. If you do that, do you find that your headcanon for the character stays the same? I'm talking about details not given by canon, the things that you have to make up.
For me, it varies. With Weiss Kreuz, there are a lot of holes in canon, things we simply don't know. To some extent, I have different headcanons for different fics, at least for the long fics. For example, Rheotaxis Ran (Aya) had a girlfriend before canon. I'm not sure that Torsion Aya did. It hasn't come up yet, but I don't know that he did. Rheotaxis Yohji went to schools that weren't very well funded or very good academically. Torsion Yohji comes from a better background.
There are still fundamentals that are the same and not just canonical details. Yohji is always bi or has at least experimented in that direction. Aya|Ran is always somewhat single minded (though there's canon support for that notion so I don't know that it's quite headcanon).
