Titles are frequently a sticking point for me. Do you struggle with titles? Do you have a title in mind before you start writing? What resources do you turn to to find titles?
I never know a story's title until just before I post. I often search and search for something and settle for a title that sounds good but doesn't quite fit. I some times browse the dictionary (paper), looking for words that are unusual and appropriate. If I can come up with words that fit but that aren't quite right or are too generic, I turn to a thesaurus (online). I keep a file with fragments of song lyrics and poetry that I think would make good titles. To find poetry, I use a site that pulls up random poems at each click.
