Hi everyone, you've got me for the check ins for the next two weeks. How is the writing going today?
Discussion: slumps. When you're in a slump with your writing do you have any sure fire ways for getting passed it?
I've been a slump for while and although I've written some short fics, mostly drabble and ficlet length, I find that I'm not happy with anything that I'm producing at the moment. As an example I wrote a 3600 word fic yesterday and today I read it through to see how much editing it needed and my only thought was "this is crap." My usual ways for getting passed slumps are writing a different fandom, writing but not posting and of course taking a break and doing something else and so far none of these things are working for me.

Date: Sunday, October 12th, 2014 14:05 (UTC)I've been in a slump myself for the last few months. I know what I need to do, but I can't seem to bring myself to do it. This chapter is really kicking my butt.
