Do you have any bulletproof plot kinks? Can you write them or do you find it difficult to get the right distance from the story to do that?

I don't know about bulletproof plot kinks-- Whatever a story's about, bad writing can knock me out of it. But I do tolerate more for certain types of stories. I really like time travel stories, particularly fix its. I've never finished one, but I have started one. I don't know exactly where I'm going with it, however, and I don't know when I'll get back to it. I also like power imbalances in relationships, at least sometimes (I'm not big on teacher/student, mentor/protege, etc.), and I do write that frequently.
