Discussion: I've been playing with random plot generators today. Does that kind of randomness give you usable ideas, or do you work best with premises you've built from scratch?

I've had a number of cancelled plans today, so I might actually get some writing time at this point. At any rate, I'm hoping to write this weekend.

My plots seem to all be canon gapfillers or AUs based on canon so random plot generators don't help me much.
