Hello on Thursday!  What kind of a writing day has it been today -- or yesterday, if today hasn't gotten going yet?
  •     I thought about my fic once or twice
  •     I wrote
  •     I did some planning and/or research
  •     I edited
  •     I've sent my fic off to my beta
  •     I posted today!
  •     I'm taking a break
  •     I did something else that I'll talk about in a comment
Discussion:  How do you deal with writing when you are not always working in the same place or are away from home?  Do you have your work on multiple computers?  Store your drafts on a flash drive and carry it with you? Make use of the cloud or other backup services, carry a notebook (electronic or paper), write on envelopes or napkins?

I have fic on Google Drive, Dropbox, in the drafts of my email account, Tumblr drafts, on an app called Helipad... basically everywhere.

All of the above, though I'm increasingly fond of Dropbox, these days, what with having to move things around from laptop to tablet, desktop to laptop, etc.

I was able to get some writing done on Tuesday and Wednesday for my multi-chapter fic. I tried editing a ficlet on Tuesday but I didn't get much done there--I just can't seem to work out two paragraphs into something satisfactory. :/ I won't be able to work on editing tonight since I'm working, but I will have time to do some other writing. ^^

My job involves a lot of travelling to different places, and I'm never certain if I'll have a lot of free time or no free time on my shifts; I keep notebooks handy just in case I get a chance to write. Digitally, I have a laptop and a desktop I save to, and I use a flash drive and Google Docs for backup.

I wrote some today and I think I'm getting over the small hump I was having. I write on a smartphone app* and in theory the phone is always with me, it's great for short bursts which is how I write anyway.

*JotterPad for Android, it has the ability to recover previous drafts which is essential b/c these types of apps can glitch on ocassion. However that requires the paid version which cost me $7.
