I thought about my fic and actually opened some documents, but did little more than stare at them -- totally uninspired. Hopefully today and the rest of the weekend will be more fruitful. My plan for the day is to push through some important RL writing I have to do, so I have nothing distracting me from fic over the weekend.
I am very easily distracted before I actually get going on writing -- once I make a start, I'm okay. I guess that means I'm not determined enough when I sit down to write! Things that keep me from getting going are RL projects that weigh on me and being too tired from a busy day. Then it's just easier to read, or surf the web, or play a computer game! I usually get myself back on track by getting a grip mentally and putting on some music. Music helps me ignore the distraction and concentrate on writing.
