I once said to myself, back in the '90s, "I don't think I'll ever write smut." And I said to myself, "I can't see myself writing femslash. I just can't get into the mindset." ... But here I am, a decade and a half later, writing smut on a regular basis, and much of it is femslash. Never say never, I suppose.
As long as I've got a pairing in mind, the porn usually rolls right off the keyboard, so to speak, but I find that I keep including bits of plot, so I suspect that true PWP is the difficult part for me.
