[personal profile] linaewen posting in [community profile] writethisfanfic
Greetings! [personal profile] linaewen  here to help encourage you and provide you with a setting to talk about your writing as we enter the final week of our July WIP Challenge and head into August.

What kind of a writing day has it been today -- or yesterday, if today hasn't gotten going yet?
  •     I thought about my fic once or twice
  •     I wrote
  •     I did some planning and/or research
  •     I edited
  •     I've sent my fic off to my beta
  •     I posted today!
  •     I'm taking a break
  •     I did something else that I'll talk about in a comment
Discussion -  The month is almost over and a new month is upon us.  How have you done at accomplishing your writing goals for July?  Are you on track?  Mostly on track?  Way behind but hopeful you'll do better in what little time remains?  Resigned to the fact that you bit off more than you can chew this time around?  What do you plan to do in the next few days in order to finish well with your writing goals?

Don't know what writing I'll get done today, but it's been an okay month for the practice. Real life threw me a few curves, and, though that's normal, it was a little more intense this month. I'll soldier on; there's at least one major deadline left for me, and it's one that I'll be going over and above to meet.

The morning was awful but then I wrote at night and I am feeling pretty pleased with myself.

I have walked away from any writing this month, even though I set a supposedly simple goal. There might be a time when I can sit down and write, but the Urgent! List is a little too long.
