Hello on Tuesday!  What kind of a writing day has it been today -- or yesterday, if today hasn't gotten going yet?

•     I did something else that I'll talk about in a comment

Discussion - I have read in blogs giving advice about writing, that it is good to read your fic aloud as part of the editing process.  Do you ever read your fic aloud -- to yourself or to anyone else?

I'm thinking about my fic today, at least to the point that I'm going to put it on my list of things to do. Whether I actually write or not remains to be seen...

I do not read aloud when editing. I do read in my head, which helps me catch awkward sentences, so I suppose reading aloud would be helpful in the same way. I just never have done it!

I did planning for a novel yesterday.

I use a narrator to read for me. it catches the awkwardnesses well. now if I could just convince it to read aloud in google docs...

Started the third chapter of my WIP.

I don't actually read out loud, but I read out loud in my head. Good writing is also about rhythm, and reading out loud helps with that.

Had to do an unexpected long shift, so I am utterly pooped and unable to write today. x_X

I read aloud occasionally, provided no one else is around. (Good idea if much of what you write is porn.)
