WIP challenge - participants, please check in!

With apologies for the slight delay, below are the buddy groups I came up with. I tried to match up on fandom (or even types of fandoms), what people were looking for, even time zones (important for word races/scheduled writing time!) where possible. But... obviously there were no perfect matches. Hopefully there will be enough overlap to be workable!

If you've signed up, could you leave a comment here just to check in & confirm that you're still interested, please? Thanks!

If you are no longer able to participate, please do let me know. Offline life gets in the way sometimes--it's very understandable! Just leave a comment or send me a DW message so I know to rejig the buddy groups.

Teams may want to rename themselves, of course. ;) Especially if, say, one team wants to challenge another to see which team can write more words in a day or during a word race or something. Nobody has to be that competitive if they don't want to! I just figured that might ignite some people's competitive spirits -- & one needs a good team name to do some trash-talking!

I'll post weekly check-in posts, probably near the end of each week.

I don't know if it would be helpful for each group to have a post to leave comments on -- you could track the entry to get all the comments in your inbox -- if that might be helpful? (Although... am I missing it, or is there no button to track an entry on each entry page? If it's not just me, I will see about getting our layout changed to one I know has that feature, ha.)

Anyway -- if you want a post for your group, please feel free to start one! Or to post in general, of course... if you want to solicit more widely for word race participants or whatever!

Regardless, time to start getting in touch with your buddies in preparation for next week! WOOOOOOO!

Sounds good to me! My offline life has taken a turn for the busier, so I'm not sure whether I'll do my planned fanfic, but I'd still glad to cheerlead, discuss writing, whatever with fellow writerly folks.

Oh dear. I'm terribly sorry and giving a horrible example as a mod, but I have to pull out. Having taken the full measure of what's awaiting me work-wise for the next couple of months, there's no way I can focus on writing at the moment, let alone be any help to anyone. I really thought I'd be able to handle it, but it looks like I've overestimated myself there.

Awwww, I'm sorry to hear that work is getting in the way! But it's better to make the decision now rather than add to your stress by trying to do it. Maybe at some future point!

Anyway, thanks for letting me know. Magically I put you in the group w/4 people, so I don't think there's any shifting that needs to be done.
