I've been working on a fic from my backlog (currently 7) today and am hoping that I can get that posted before I go to bed, which then gives me more time tomorrow to get something else off of the list.

Normally I don't take requests or prompts because I have enough to be working on as it is without others adding to the pile but I recently had a comment from a reader asking if I could do a follow up to a fic where my current OTP characters ended their relationship (unintentional, I swear) and the reader was wanting a happy ending for them and to begin with I was very much nope not happening, then I started making some notes for it. Yep, a rare request fic is almost finished and ready for posting.

I spent most of the day getting reacquainted with my fic and planning my writing projects for March. I did get some writing done, too, so I'm pleased! I jotted a few notes today on paper, and will be typing them up shortly, so I can also say that I have written today, when I get that finished. I'm trying to get my word count up a bit in the next few days so I can report something decent for Get Your Words Out.

I have had it happen several times where readers request sequels or extensions. Sometimes I am already planning a sequel, but I may or may not admit to that! Other times I don't take it seriously, as it's just "oh, wouldn't it be great if there were a sequel to this!" One reader, however, really made a case for a continuation of something that was totally meant to be a one shot. After thinking about it, I did some research and admitted it might be fun to try at some point -- so now I have a folder for it, which means I'll write it some day! Once I research something and admit it might work, it's usually too late for me. ;-)

I've made some notes about the next chapter. I'm extremely excited about one scene towards the end of it, which on the one hand is great for motivation, but on the other hand, my thoughts keep coming back to it whenever I try to think about what needs to happen first...
