Discussion: incomplete scenes in your fic. When you find an incomplete scene in your fic do you try to finish it? look over your notes? start again?

Made progress on my outline for the next chapter!

I always write linearly, so the only unfinished scene is the one I'm currently writing.

Started a new chapter, yay.

When I get stuck, I jump to the next thing that I know has to happen, and then go back to write connecting bits. It helps me with pacing a lot.

Well, I wrote again, but it was another poop joke. Still better than nothing.

I try never to leave an incomplete scene, but, if necessary, I'll leave a placeholder comment and go back to it before posting the whole thing. Haven't had to do that in ages, though.

I wrote, yay! A prompt was posted this evening, and as I glanced at it, a fun plot popped into my head, so I wrote it. Haven't done that for awhile -- I usually do so much planning and research for a tale that I'm too tired to write it. This didn't need much planning, which was nice.

I have realized while editing at times that a scene needs to be filled out more -- often it seems fine at the time of writing, but later I realize it's incomplete. I will redo it or add to it according to notes, or if my notes are insufficient, I'll do more research.
