You can do it and writing *is* hard. That's why I've temporarily (maybe) given up trying to write original fiction for publication. I'm just not willing at this point to spare the blood/sweat/tears it takes.
Writing is fun for me and writing fan fiction doubly so and I want to keep it that way for the moment.
