Day 22! How's the war of words going today?

When the story you're on isn't going so well, do you ever stop and do prewriting for another story to help unblock yourself?

I claimed some new prompts this morning, so I am currently in the thinking and planning stage. I have decided to throw off my other Real Life responsibilities until later in the day and devote the morning to writing, because I really feel the need to get back on track with my stories.

I always have several WIPs going at one time, plus the monthly challenge prompts I am usually working on, so when something isn't going well in one, I do switch to another for the sake of variety. Sometimes I feel it is not a good plan to have more than one thing going at a time, because something is always being neglected, but it does tend to help with writing (when I actually have time to devote to it!).
