Here we are. It's Day 23, and the wording continues. How's it going?

Well, today's kind of a big political day across the pond from me (i.e. the Brexit referendum), so here's a thought: Ever get so distracted by current events that writing becomes difficult?

It was a mistake to announce I was going to shirk my RL work for a bit for the sake of writing, because of course, almost immediately, something came up that thoroughly interrupted me. Today seems to be going in a similar vein, but I'm still hopeful for some solid, uninterrupted me time that I can devote to pen and story.

Thinking, planning and a little bit of writing. Mostly it's jotting down ideas for dialogue. I'm almost reading to start writing this fic in earnest at this point. :)

Yes, sometimes current events get in the way or sap my energy. It's frustrating because fanworks can be a great way to escape those worries, so I try to at least muster enough energy to draft, plan or review canon in preparation for writing.
