WIP Challenge Check-in, Day 28 -- Sunday

Hello on Sunday, the beginning of a new week!  What kind of a writing day has it been today -- or yesterday, if today hasn't gotten going yet?

•     I did some planning and/or research

•     I've sent my fic off to my beta
•     I posted today!
•     I'm taking a break
•     I did something else that I'll talk about in a comment

Sunday Discussion - It's the final week of the August Challenge.  Did you have any particular goal you were trying to hit this month?  How did you do?  Is there anything you will concentrate on this week in order to finish the writing month well?

I don't expect to be able to write today, as I have to go to a family reunion -- but I am considering taking pen and paper in case there is a lull in the conversation and I feel inspired to write.

As for my goals, I kept my expectations low for this month -- my goal was to increase my word count from July, finish and post one new work by the end of the month. I actually accomplished this! And there are even a few days left in the month to try to get more words in for the word count! We'll see how that goes...

Yeah, this isn't going to be a month of accomplishment, but that's okay. There's always September. Like I said yesterday, I'm just focusing on getting better right now.
