I started writing fanfic around 2006. The first fandom I wrote in was Firefly. My first story was written before I'd ever seen the show, based just on the Wikipedia entry and other fanfics. It's still available at http://archiveofourown.org/works/9133438

The story I started writing (and posted chapter 1 of) today is in K-pop (specifically Blackpink) fandom. The thing that gets everything started is that one of the girls starts reading fanfic about the band and decides she prefers the fanfic version of one of her bandmates to the real thing.
