July WIP Challenge: Day 5 Check In

It's day five! July is beginning to fly by. How was the writing today? Make any progress?

Today, I have done:

- Planning and/or research

Today's question: Is there a character you've never written, but would like to one day, if you had the right idea for them?

Today, very much to my surprise, I have written Winnie-the-Pooh/Legolas fisting (with honey), which I did not at all anticipate when I woke up this morning. Hmm.

It's not actually on my list of Things To Write, but hey.

I can't think of a character I want to write and haven't had a go at - mostly I don't really think that way until I get a story bunny, at which point I have to get on with it. Eventually.

Little bit of progress so far, but I am at work...I received back two critiques of my YA to look at and consider, so yay.

Fiddling with my HP fic.

I think I'm going to close my eyes for a little while....

Hopefully, I'll have an opportunity to do some real writing later on.

I did a bit of writing, nothing major. But still! Given that the first ep of Natsume Yuujinchou's third season became available subbed today, it was impressive that I was able to tamp down my squee enough, after a first viewing, to write fic at all!

Right now I am pretty lucky in that I feel like I could write most (all?) of the characters I want to write, but when I enter new fandoms I generally take a long time feeling comfortable w/the characters I want to write about. So I expect at some point I'll find someone I want to write but feel intimidated by!

Despite the fact there was internet shenanigans and near murder, I actually opened my big bang and got about 350 words done. Also realised said big bang had succumbed to time dilation and it's been at least a week and a half since I even opened the file.

I've got to say there are no characters that I'd like to write for but haven't. Maybe haven't finished a couple of said fics but I've at least started them. But then I do tend to glom onto characters and not let them go for a while.

Read a few of my writing magazines as I watched my two neices today. I wrote a little, the oldest is 8.. she grabbed her story journal and sat down to write with me. The youngest is 5, she sat down and drew pictures as we wrote, it was great.
There are so many characters I'd like to write about, but I honestly don't think I could name them all, but i can say fandom wise I'd love to write a LoTR story, but I know i wouldn't be able to do it justice. :) NCIS is a fandom I'd like to dabble in as well as Leverage.

I wrote 1500 words, then I'm at the usual panic of being stuck at just near the minimum.

I would like to write Natasha Stark, because a flirty happy geeky genius female super hero is win. I just need a plot.

Still in the editing stage. Got feedback from one of my betas whichprompyed me to add a few couple hundred words to the story.

About the one due South character I have some good ideas that I just can't seem to write down is Maggie Mackenzie. She's cool and badass, but despite all my years (nearly a decade) in the fandom, I have been unable to warm up to her. Therefore, I can only write what amounts to very quick cameos.
