In between checking my word count obsessively, I managed to actually do some writing -- to the tune of 300 words. I'm hoping for more before the day ends!

In four words: I actually wrote something!

I don't usually care about my word count, but lately, due to being signed up for a Big Bang, I am obsessing about it. So yes, I do count it as writing from time to time! :-D

With my word counts I have a method.. When I fill a page I automatically count the words, write it at the bottom corner of the paper and then move on. By the time my writing session is over all I add up my totals and have my daily word count. I didn't get any writing done this morning. I keep track of my word counts and try to beat the previous days count.

My neice asked me to make her a lil website for her stories, so I made her a blog and worked on posting her stories and poems on it. She's only 8 so her stories are very short at the moment,lol. The way it's set up, she can update it herself.

Random snippet today, but... ugh. I should remember that it's good that I'm writing some kind of fic almost every day, even if it's just brain noodling, but I do feel like I've stalled out on a lot of WIPs. Blergh.

Um, I'm still caught up on my writing meme? But I'm now halfway through the 10 linked drabbles. (I do not write short easily, drat it.)

My daughter is giving a speech about fan fiction so I was looking for good articles for her.

Sometimes I worry about word count, sometimes I don't. *shrugs* But for me word counting never counts as writing.

AU big bang fic is being beta'd. :D Also, I didn't get much writing done yesterday as the bath was being resurfaced. Cue EPIC NOISE for most of the day. But I did get about 2k written for Glitter in the evening once it was all over. :D Feeling better I'm going to get this thing finished.

In four words, epic confusing city streets. XD THat's an accurate summation of the last scene I wrote. :P

I'm actually really lazy about counting my word count. yWriter has it in a little box in the corner, and it'll tell me how much I've written today. It's hardly an effort. XD And Jart is just hovering my mouse over the word count button thing and it shows up. It's a lark now. It hardly takes up a lot of time. I suppose that means I have more time to write.

Still editing the draft. Still freaking out how to edit. Word count: 400.

Yesterday I was looking over my ladyfest fic and made some edits. I'm going to do a quick grammar edit soon and send it to my beta. As for today...lol, I have been watching a couple anime shows my friends had recommended so I was pretty distracted. XD; I have been inspired with a few ideas I can use for my upcoming works though, so that's a good thing I guess, heh.

Since I do Big Bang and am in a weekly fic contest where you have to write under a specific wordcount, I have been obsessed with word count. There would also be times when I'm writing something I would then say to myself, "I want this story to be X word count" and have that as my goal, but that doesn't happen always.
