Hello on Saturday!  What kind of a writing day has it been so far today -- or if today hasn't gotten going yet, how did you fare yesterday?

Today I hope to add more words to the 600 or so that I have already written for the newest chapter in the WIP I am working on. My goal is to finish the story sometime in 2019, but I won't manage that if I keep putting off working on the latest chapter! I may also spend some time setting some other writing-related goals in order to set myself up to succeed in the coming year.

I wrote about 1000 words yesterday - 700 on a treat for a friend, and another 300 on an exchange fic that I'd gotten back from my beta. Today, I hope to finish up the treat because the exchange goes live tomorrow.

I've also been working on clearing out some old WIPs - I have things in my WIP folder that have been untouched for more than two years! Some of them are nearly complete, but others are nowhere near it and unlikely to ever be finished. It feels pretty good to let them go.

I posted! It was only a tiny one-shot, about 800 words, but it felt really good--it's the first posted component of a series I've been working on for about five years.

I managed 2,000+ words two days ago, but that feels like the end of my production for 2018. Going to take it easy this weekend before the new year happens and changes up my life. ... Not the best year for writing, all told, but a distinct improvement over 2017.

So far today I've had work and then some mod duties. I'm hoping to polish off another drabble or two later tonight for fandom_stocking. My chapter fic may have to wait a few more weeks and/or until I get through my prompt list for that exchange. I have 21 total with 11 done and posted. *anime battle music*
