I’m not sure as yet. I’m still in Leeds for another week and have barely made a dent into anything that’s in my notebooks.

It's early AM here so not writing yet. Yesterday I wrote for a challenge prompt. I failed. It had a deadline at midnight, I started the story a couple of weeks ago, it was short, it should have been relatively easy. I tried to finish it yesterday and spent (I'm ashamed to say) 12 hours trying to make it work. I meandered and changed it repeatedly, I got stuck on words, it was so disheartening. I finally gave up at 10 pm. I am thinking I shouldn't do challenges or deadlines or prompts. It wasn't fun. It was discouraging. I am going to put my head down and focus on my WIP.

I planned and researched, but never really got into actual writing, even though that's what I had hoped to do on the weekend. I have some deadlines to meet so I'm hoping to do better starting today with work on actual fic.

Since my day's only just begun, I'm answering for yesterday. Which, when I was supposed to go to bed, I actually ended up writing a short fic for the currently airing CBS show FBI. It's nothing super fancy or anything, but it's not terrible for an evening's bit of writing, and is already getting kudos and comments (which of course make me feel quite pleased).

The rest of the day is going to be working on math worksheets again, though, unless someone gets back to me with alpha reader notes/comments on one of my WIPs. (Which is unlikely.)
