Hello, writers! What have you been able to accomplish today toward your August goal?

— I wrote today!
— I planned and/or researched something.
— I sat down and did some editing.
— I sent things to my beta.
— I posted!
— I focused on something else today.

Sunday Brunch: What’s on your mind? Did you read a new book you’d like to talk about? See a new film/show? Let’s have some casual coffee chat today to start the new week.

Finished and posted another installment of Buffy/Dexter. Not too much further and I'll have run out of outline, so we'll see how far I manage to take it from there. Did a little bit on the next installment of City of Heroes. And for the first time in weeks, made progress on both the Kill la Kill shorts. It never lasts, but I'll be milking this productivity as long as possible.

Just finished watching the entire run of Peter Falk's COLUMBO, which I remember watching some of as a child and find myself appreciating so much more now. The leisurely pace of story setup is just one of the many things that makes this 'old' show -- even quite a few of the maligned later episodes -- such a pleasure to watch. Ditto for KOLCHAK: THE NIGHT STALKER, which for all its flaws absolutely nails it in so many ways. And I'm about to rewatch MAX HEADROOM because I haven't seen it in ten, maybe fifteen years or even more.

I was not able to write on Sunday, but I did some writing-related thinking about what I wrote on Saturday, and I realize I want to redo the whole passage from a different point of view. So it's back to the drawing board today.

I've been diving into reading mysteries. I've enjoyed lots and lots of Sherlock Holmes pastiches (there are some really good ones out there that are as good as the originals!) and I just started rereading my collection of Ellery Queen novels.
