How you ever outgrown one of your ongoing stories?

I had to get up early for a meeting today, and now that I'm home with some free time, my brain is too tired to think. I'm hoping to add a bit more to an almost-finished chapter so I can post it; that MIGHT happen today...

I have not yet outgrown any of my ongoing stories, even though at least one of them has been muddling along for 15 years!

Not much today as non-writing responsibilities claimed all my time until now. Relaxing after dinner and maybe some words will emerge.

I outgrew one ongoing story, my first major fanfic (Gargoyles) which ended up never seeing the light of day. I more regret the *other* Gargoyles story I never finished, which I did *not* outgrow, and which the only reason I didn't finish was forgetting too much of the original idea and not having any record of it. A painful lesson, but well learned.
