WIP Challenge Check-in, Day 14 -- Sunday

 Hello on Sunday!  What kind of a writing day has it been so far today -- or if today hasn't gotten going yet, how did you fare yesterday?

 

       - I thought about my fic once or twice

       - I wrote

       - I did some planning and/or outlining

       - I did research and/or canon review

       - I edited

       - I've sent my fic off to my beta

       - I posted today!

       - I'm taking a break

       - I did something else that I'll talk about in a comment

 

Sunday Discussion:  It's a new writing week, and that means a fresh start.  Maybe last week wasn't the greatest for getting writing things done -- what kind of goals do you have for starting off fresh this week?

I was taking a break the last few days, so I am hoping to get back into it today if I can. Before taking a break, I was trying to work a bit every day specifically on the WIP that needs updating, so that has been helpful.

Been doing better last few days, over four thousand words and almost half a chapter done. Plus came up with some new ideas to make the rest of the book even better.

Also out of nowhere I had an idea for a genderswapped version of...well, this would be a reboot of an emo nineties classic while taking the epic piss out of it in more than one way. Just imagining the scenes between the brooding main character and the plucky inquisitive sidekick is giving me a serious case of the smiles. Which as we all know is by itself more than sufficient reason to try to bring this concept to life.

I did a little bit of planning, and thought about my fic. I think I may abandon this project for a while, until I can sort out the major background/setting issues that I'm struggling with.

I think this week I'll try for 1500 words of fiction writing again, though probably on something different.
