WIP Challenge Check-in, Day 1 -- Monday

Hello on Monday!  It's a new month and that means a fresh start!  With that in mind, how's the day going so far for fic? (If you haven't gotten started on your day as yet, how did yesterday go for writing fic?)

How much time have you spent on writing fic today, roughly?

I'm somewhere in between today, not having started yet but hoping to have a nice writing session at some point during the day after I get work out of the way.

My five words: Starting fresh is always inspiring!

Made good progress yesterday, but with five scenes left and already over 10k words in this chapter, while not every scene is all that long, it's nonetheless feeling a bit cumbersome. Might go out today, but looking forward to more writing regardless.

Now that I've reached the halfway point, I'm realizing this book is so much fun I'll be sad when I'm done writing it, since I plan on ending the series there. But this trilogy has gotten me more interested in longer works again, now that I've managed to fix most of the problems I used to have writing long-form stuff.

Hooray for a new month!

I haven't gotten anything done yet today, but I'm hoping to before bed. My self-imposed hiatus from my main fic is over, so I can write the 2nd draft now!

Yesterday was lost to a pretty bad headache, and the days before to other things eating up my time... but I'm hoping to get back on track!
