I have had some pleasant writing sessions with my characters when they stop to rest or to eat and drink. It's not often, but it does happen!

My characters do stop to eat and drink but only because in my new fandom, it's pretty much canon that eating and drinking is part of nearly every episode!

Now if I can just corral the plot bunnies that keep hopping around keeping me from actually finishing anything!

In one of my WIPs, shared meals have kind of a central role so yeah. :D It mostly happens to groups of characters and not lone characters, though.

Yesterday I passed my 25k word goal for Camp NaNo! So I'm pretty happy about that! Since I still have ten days in the month, I'm going to see if I can get to 40k total. That would be 1500/day for the rest of the month, which is doable, but more than I usually hit.

As for whether my characters stop to eat and drink... uh... sometimes? Lol. Though often it's only to show something like passage of time, or to give the characters something to do during a dialogue-heavy scene. A lot of times, if there's nothing remarkable at meal time, I just sort of let that fade into the "bits of their lives we don't dwell on
