I won a round by playing multiple times (ie, writing a bit for around 30 minutes and going back to it repeatedly), and that seems to work well.
I haven't gotten into the habit of rewarding myself, partly because I tend to go for the rewards first. ^^;; Though I did kind of reward myself with a sweet treat after writing, so I guess that counts?
