How's your writing fairing today?

Bonus question for Fun Friday: you wake up with the ability to write in ANY fandom. Which fandom is that????

Acquaintances only, mostly because I am too busy this weekend to heed my friend calling to me to come spend time together. Soon, friend, soon!

A fandom I love but have hesitated to write in due to all the techno babble needed (imo) is Star Trek. So if I had the ability I would definitely writing Star Trek -- especially DS9!

Give it a shot! Faking technobabble is a lot easier than trying to accurately and skillfully portray an overwhelmingly rich and complex universe of characters like the Love and Rockets comics. Compared to that, anything Trek is like falling off a log.

My BFF stuck around to spend the night. On last scene of final chapter and it's going great guns. Trying to finish the draft tonight, then polish for posting in the morning.

Hah! Good point. I should give it a try. If nothing else, a brainstorming session with the DS9 characters would be a fun exercise!

I agree with frogfarm, you can maneuver around some of the techno-speak. All of the canon is made up anyways. Plus who is to say that your fics will be heavily focused on the tech stuff to begin with? ;)
