How is your writing going today in ten words or less??

Nope... 21 words since yesterday. Meh.

No writing for me yet today--started a Glee rewatch last night so between watching Glee and doing housework and laundry...BUT I may have the house to myself here shortly so I might play around. Then again...

And I'd like to offer a beta read/critique of 5000 words or less, preferably original fiction to the first three people to PM me.

I'm not opposed to beta-ing fan fiction BUT we have so many fandoms, I'd have a hard time doing anything other than grammar, spelling and punctuation for anything I'm not familiar with.

Fandoms I know something about and would prefer/be willing to read: Star Trek (any), Glee, X-Files, JAG, NCIS, Downton Abbey, Robin Hood, Sports Night, Harry Potter, Stargate SG1 or Atlantis. There may be others that I just can't pull from my brain, so just ask...

I don't mind explicit stuff or slash, but I'm not really into BDSM or other kinks or fetishes.

My sociology essay has taken me much longer to edit than I thought it would do :/

It's going decently!!

We had a lot of chatter in the writing session today, which was really nice (I hope it wasn't too distracting for people -- though people seemed to dip in & out of the convo as needed) but also fit in w/me editing -- I do better editing things in bits & pieces, so the distraction helped. I'm getting somewhere w/my Kaleidoscope fic! V. exciting!! Though I discovered I switched tenses halfway through (due to writing the thing in bits & pieces for my 750 Words each day, I just forgot one day what tense I'd been using). Correcting that is always easy but irritating.

I still don't have an ending for my fic, of course... sob.

Writing happened. Almost two pages (400 words? Dunno).

My characters who were meant to have a row? They broke up. Colour me surprised.

... I wonder whether it's all making sense and how I am going to make all better, but as I am having internal conflicts and not sure whether I'll ever be ready to show this to fandom... no way to test. And it's unfinished, and I really hope I'll finish it. And then we'll see.

Able to get the first round of edits done for the fifth chapter of my Big Bang today. There are a couple parts where I want to change but unsure how, so hopefully I'll figure that out soon.

Ten words or less -- I am back on track and motivated!

While I didn't actually write on Saturday, I accomplished a major goal earlier by defeating the chapter-that-refused-to-be-written. Other things have fallen into place as well, and I am feeling very motivated and confident about my WIP-related prospects. Now if I can just get Real Life to cooperate....

One thing I found helpful this week was to call up a friend and fellow writer who follows my stories; I bounced some ideas off her and together we got some good discussion going. As a result, I have a good plan for some writing that wasn't going anywhere because I didn't know how to get started. Sometimes talking about it with someone is just what's needed!
