Hello!  How are you doing this fine Tuesday?  It's still Tuesday and not super late here, what, no, of course not!

How has your writing been today?  Anything exciting to report or pretty much situation normal?

Discussion:  What's your go-to style after a lull?  Do you default to fanfic or original work, or is there a particular genre that's easiest to slip into after a hard day?

No writing today (I'm somehow sleepier today despite getting more sleep in a way that must make sense to someone other than myself), but I did tackle a couple of real-life things that needed taking care of.

To answer my own question: Slice of life fanfic is my comfort food, as it were, for writing, especially fluffy and lightly-romantic ones. It's like slipping into a very cozy blanket of low stakes words.

I have a weird topic I want feedback on because it's making me wonder if I should just give up the original story I'm trying to write, and I don't really want to post this on my own DW page because I just feel so awkward. Is there a group which I could join which is for discussion of weird writing problems? (Not sexual weird!)

Not knowing any details (and noting that I am Not A Mod, but merely a volunteer), I am probably still safe to say that anything is fair game to ask re: writing, as many writing things are weird.

I got some editing done and finished a ficlet that I'm aiming to post tonight.

When it's been a while I tend to go for drabbles and ficlets to get back into the habit, some end up getting posted and some don't. Sometimes looking at my prompt tables helps but not always.

I beat my article into submission, and got feedback on it already -- it only needs a few tweaks and then it is done, amazing! Now maybe I can write something fun for a few days before the next article is due.

My go to on a hard day is probably brainstorming about fanfic. It makes me feel like I am writing something fun and fanficish without having to actually work on the story itself!
