WIP Challenge Check-in, Day 29 -- Friday

Hello on Friday!  Looking back at the day today -- or yesterday, if today hasn't gotten going yet -- how did it go?

   - I thought about my fic once or twice
   - I wrote
   - I did some planning and/or research
   - I edited
   - I've sent my fic off to my beta
   - I posted today!
   - I'm taking a break
   - I did something else that I'll talk about in a comment

Looking forward, how are you planning to spend your weekend?

   - I'm going to make up for not writing all week by having a writing marathon
   - I'm going to keep writing at my current rate and see how it goes
   - I have other plans, but I might have time to get some writing in
   - I'm going to take a break from writing

I got a bit done on my fic WIP, no new words, but lots of thinking/reviewing/brainstorming and trying to remember what the plan was!

For the rest of the weekend, I will probably keep writing at my current rate and see how it goes. No marathons for me!

I finished the first draft of my assignment, then edited a crackfic and posted it! :D

I have some ideas for the weekend but I also need to rest first, so we'll see what bits of writing fit in there. I do have some word sprints planned with a friend tomorrow!

Brainstorming some ideas before I sat down to write, and using a pomodoro timer really helped yesterday. Over two hours of writing total! That's also going to be my plan for today.

I'm going to make up for not writing much this week by trying to write a ton this weekend. I feel like I'm way behind where I should be, but my deadlines are really all in my head.

Thank you! So far, so good. I think my problem has partly been that I need better habits/structure to get past the executive dysfunction, and setting a pomodoro timer is becoming a bit of a signal to switch into that writing mode!

Did some organising for my series, mostly the eps I'm working from and image references for Kathryn's secret tattoos. The more that's added, the harder it is to keep everything straight in my head. Outlined a bit of the next fic in the series which needs some more adding to it before I can work from it.

It's easter weekend here so I'll be working on fic in between watching rugby and going out for walks to keep rehabbing an injury.

Yay organizing! I love gathering image references for story.

Sounds like a good plan for your weekend, too. I need to remember to work walks etc into my writing routine as I can always think better when I have a movement break.

It needed to be done. It's not often I use image references but having something specific to work from helps.

I always feel better when I've got out of the house for a bit even if it's only a short walk.

I wrote a little bit (maybe half an hour) and took some notes about a new fic idea yesterday. I haven’t sat down yet to do in-the-zone writing today but I’m going to attempt to do so shortly.

This weekend I primarily have to focus on lesson planning and grading (I’m a teacher and spring break ends Tuesday) but I hope to work some writing into the breaks.

I wrote again! Got down another 123 words (which is a nice number for my brain to see) on the "treat that may grow up into a pinch hit if I can be bothered" that I started a couple days ago.

I've got a LOT of RL stuff to do tomorrow, but some of it depends on if/how much it rains, so we'll see what happens.
