First I slacked off for a few weeks. Then I did the thing where you're thinking about multiple pieces that are serious and character-driven and not at all smutty, and some stupid smut keeps running around the house making noise and scratching at the door trying to get in, and when you finally give in and write the stupid smut it turns out to be every bit as fun as you knew it would be. So at first I thought that was going to distract from the more serious stuff. But then this morning I wrote more for two different serious pieces, and then ended up finishing one, posting it and being very, very happy with it. So please enjoy this tribute to Alan Rickman in the form of a short fic, namely The Show Must Go On (Galaxy Quest, Teen, gen, ensemble, memorial, meta).

I'm also pretty sure I'll finish the other serious piece before the smut because I'm nearly six thousand words into the smut and just getting around to the actual sex. Once again, I am constitutionally incapable of not prolonging the foreplay.
