I have a new blog article that is due in a week and needs to be started, but I also have an existing WIP that needs some attention. The blog article will get priority, but I need to carve out some time for the WIP, too. My week looks pretty good for carving out writing time, so I am happy about that!

Sitting here like "D. All of the above"

The biggest thing I need to focus on, really, is an exchange fic for the one (1) exchange I signed up for. I've had it to work on since... April, or so, I think (possibly earlier), and it's due not this coming Saturday, but the following one, so I *really* need to get on that as I have exactly zero (0) written for it.

On the one hand, I feel like I often work best when under a deadline crunch, but on the other... oof. Good luck getting the exchange fic completed!

Re-outlining the Portal/Terminator WIP with a slightly smaller cast of characters, though with time travel those missing ones might show up later on. Posted the Love and Rockets short which makes 15 total stories on AO3 for that fandom. Had an interesting Samurai Jack idea but it's no more than two sentences that start it off, so it needs an actual story. And I still have the 13 outlined chapters of a D&D story that would make a much better anime or manga, so I just started converting that into a comic script.

You've got lots going on! Portal/Terminator is a fascinating crossover!

I've definitely had ideas that I wish I had the skill to do in another medium before... I hope the conversion to comic scripting works well!

I'd never done it before last month, now I've got two under my belt. I just found a Batman script someone posted online and used that as a template for the first two chapters, Try taking a short story of your own, like 5k words or so, and see how many pages you can trim it down to and still feel like it has everything it needs. Hopefully you'll find like I did that scripting is like writing but cheating :)

Very nice!

A creative writing class I took a million years ago included writing a script, but it's been a long time. I can see the appeal of being able to trim something down to very much the essentials it needs!

I wish I had the art ability to do comics, since while I love writing (obviously!), sometimes the visual combined with the text really captures it better.

Congratulations on posting the new fic! I often struggle with trying to cut pieces, but sometimes it is *exactly* what a story needs.
