Discussion time:  How do you celebrate a writing job well done?  Do you give yourself a little treat or reward for writing (whether that's something tasty, some guilt-free screen/game time, or something else)?  If so, when do you celebrate?  Do you wait until you've reached a set word count, a chapter break, after writing the actual "The End"?

I like to eat out as a reward for making headway in my draft, but I'm actively trying out other forms of rewards to not set up the pattern of well done writing resulting in my wallet/budget taking a hit 😅 Tried to have canon review be my reward for writing fic, as in I'll only let myself rewatch my favourite episodes after finishing a certain number of stories. But ultimately I'd rather gorge on canon as much as I want and feed my obsession 😝

I celebrate in small or bigger ways only after checking that my NotesApp are synced across both PC and mobile, and my progress is saved on both devices. Learnt a hard lesson after I closed my browser when my the writing platform that I used to save my works online (Simplenote) was still syncing and ended up losing the last 400 words of my fic!

I've been there with lost in sync files. Every writer's nightmare, for real.

"A little treat" seems so safe at the start, then it's three weeks later and a moth flies out of your wallet when you open it. 💸💸
