Discussion time:  Do you ever write holiday stories?  Or if not a holiday person, how about seasonal stories?

Never been a holiday story person, maybe as a background setting/mood! I did try to write on xmas eve but it was not happening :D "I'll get back there eventually" is definitely it. Happy holidays, if you're holidaying!

I know I've written a handful of holiday-ish stories, but I definitely have more fun with them when the holiday itself is more in the background.

Not very often though I'm rather indifferent to anything centred around a holiday or specifically seasonal. I think over all of my years in fandom I've maybe written seasonal fic four or five times and that's even with signing up for newyearcntdown the last couple of years too.

Now that I think of it, I actually think more of my holiday stories are Halloween/spooky focused than Christmas/wintery ones. I've also signed up for New Year Count Down, uh, for A Few Years and I think my lack of winter holiday energy is probably why I've not done many for it. Whoops? XD

I was involved in a writing community for a number of years where we did a holiday exchange fic for each other at the end of the year. I also did a couple of shorts that had holiday themes. I haven't done anything like that recently, though!

I think I want to do another holiday exchange one day! I remember having a lot of fun with those in the past. (Definitely that "one day" is not within the coming year if I can help it, as I actually need to force myself to rest for realsies, but one day!)
