For the fic that I am trying to get back into writing, it is an alternate universe fic where some characters DON'T die, and I am trying to keep it as close to canon as possible while still saving (almost) everybody. It's fun and I am looking forward to getting back into it. Maybe even today now that much of the holiday stuff is behind me (except the cleaning up).

As much as I love putting characters in situations, I really think there's so much fun in figuring out how to either keep them *out* of situations or get them *through* situations relatively intact. And boy, some canons definitely make that harder than other ones! Good luck to you AND your non-canonically surviving characters!
