I have been working at rereading some old chapters today and taking notes for what more is needed in my outline and if more research is needed as I try to get back into my neglected longfic.

As I recall, my characters have done some cooking a couple of times.

Well, I dealt with life today but I also thought about a few ideas for where my fic is going to go. I was working out some dialogue in my head while I organized some things.

As far as my characters cooking--yes! I have my characters cook quite a bit in stories. In fact, there's a beautiful tag to an episode in my fandom (Starsky and Hutch 70s TV show) where Hutch cooks Starsky's favorite meal (he even called his partner's mom to get the recipe) and then invites him for dinner and has the table set with his best china and even candles on the table. I think that's why a lot of fics have them cook for each other.
