Hello everyone! How's your Saturday been so far? Hope you've managed to do some writing!

Are you
- writing
- editing
- researching
- relaxing?

Don't forget that there's a writing session today at 6pm UTC!

Discussion question: Do you tend to finish one story before moving on to the next one, or do you have dozens of WIPs waiting for you at any given time?

I managed to get the writing in early today, then it rather dominated my thoughts for the rest of the day? Still nothing finished...

I don't have dozens but I do have a few on the go at the moment?

No writing this weekend :( lots of presentation prep for uni which sucks. Hopefully I'll be getting some work done on my big bang in the week, and maybe having a look at my huge multi-chaptered SVU fic but we'll see.

I usually write one or two fics at a time then move on but I do have two WIPs on the go at the moment, shame that RL (read: uni) is getting in my way at the moment.

This week hasn't been very productive, but I managed to get somewhere done during the writing sessions. (After the nap and the part where food research made me really hungry.) It's not one of the more urgent WIPs, but it's Christmas-themed, so I'd like to finish it rather soon. There's not much of a point in posting it after the holidays.

I have dozens. They're all one-shots and most of them wouldn't be that long anyway, but... I'm slow. And sometimes I get lost in the sentences and can't find my meager shreds of plot anymore.

Trying to get some writing in right now. Forcing myself to work on my WIP because I just need to finish it. And I'm determined to push through the "I don't wannas" and the "it's too hards" thoughts and get this bad boy cranked out and finished sometime in the next several months.

Discussion topic...Well, I have several (*cough*) fics waiting in the wings to be finished. I generally work on one at a time until I get stuck, and then maybe I start a new one. :) Or I leave it unfinished and move on to a new fandom. Okay, that I rarely do. Although I do have a fics that's been waiting to be finished for a good five years, maybe six.

I wrote about 500 words today and finished off another scene, which is good. Contemplating skipping the next one for a while, though, because it's nothing but a character wallowing in feeeelings, which is the hardest part for me to write - probably because I don't understand them in real life, either. I can usually fake it for a few paragraphs in the middle of a scene about something else, but if the entire point of the scene is the feelings than I tend to flail around and suck a lot. Well, a lot more than usual, at least.

I did some research, too, which unfortunately pretty much made my eyes glaze over - but for this particular fic it's not as much of a problem, as even though I'm usually really anal about everything having to be accurate, this fic is basically a giant handwave anyway. One more can't hurt.

I have so many stories going on right now that I am ashamed. Usually I just kind of work on whichever one I feel like working on, and as a consequence none of them get finished. That's still what's going on with my original fiction, but I think I've at least finally managed to focus in on one specific fanfic to work on at a time. And if it's a success, then maybe it can carry over to my original stuff too.
