Hello everyone! How's your Saturday been so far? Hope you've managed to do some writing!
Are you
- writing
- editing
- researching
- relaxing?
Don't forget that there's a writing session today at 6pm UTC!
Discussion question: Do you tend to finish one story before moving on to the next one, or do you have dozens of WIPs waiting for you at any given time?

Date: Sunday, December 11th, 2011 00:56 (UTC)I usually write one or two fics at a time then move on but I do have two WIPs on the go at the moment, shame that RL (read: uni) is getting in my way at the moment.

Date: Sunday, December 11th, 2011 01:30 (UTC)I have dozens. They're all one-shots and most of them wouldn't be that long anyway, but... I'm slow. And sometimes I get lost in the sentences and can't find my meager shreds of plot anymore.

Date: Sunday, December 11th, 2011 01:32 (UTC)Discussion topic...Well, I have several (*cough*) fics waiting in the wings to be finished. I generally work on one at a time until I get stuck, and then maybe I start a new one. :) Or I leave it unfinished and move on to a new fandom. Okay, that I rarely do. Although I do have a fics that's been waiting to be finished for a good five years, maybe six.

Date: Sunday, December 11th, 2011 06:01 (UTC)I did some research, too, which unfortunately pretty much made my eyes glaze over - but for this particular fic it's not as much of a problem, as even though I'm usually really anal about everything having to be accurate, this fic is basically a giant handwave anyway. One more can't hurt.
I have so many stories going on right now that I am ashamed. Usually I just kind of work on whichever one I feel like working on, and as a consequence none of them get finished. That's still what's going on with my original fiction, but I think I've at least finally managed to focus in on one specific fanfic to work on at a time. And if it's a success, then maybe it can carry over to my original stuff too.
