I did manage to fix my questionable paragraph[s] from yesterday by simply reversing the order (and writing STET over the one I'd written and then discarded). I still ended up crossing out about half of what I wrote thereafter, and am still feeling my way forward without great confidence; it's probably going to take me about three weeks to write this one scene, and I'm feeling a bit depressed about how the story as a whole is coming out -- quite apart from the issue that, as I knew from the start, it doesn't have an actual plot...

I was in an online seminar all day and now have no brain left for writing. I shall start fresh with the new week to work on getting enough words down to make a chapter.
