WIP Challenge Check-in, Day 13 -- Thursday

Hello on Thursday! What kind of a writing day has it been so far today -- or if today hasn't gotten going yet, how did you fare yesterday?

       - I thought about my fic once or twice

       - I've sent my fic off to my beta
       - I posted today!
       - I'm taking a break
       - I did something else that I'll talk about in a comment

Thursday Discussion:  It's almost the middle of the month already -- how are you doing so far with meeting this month's writing goals?

I thought about my fic yesterday but life conspired against me and I was not able to spend any time with it. Perhaps today will be go better! I plan on doing a bit of review of my outline today and then try to at least write a paragraph in my WIP.

Finished the challenge fic I've been working on, just have to post it.

Well, my main goal was to finish a fic I started for spook_me, and I haven't made any progress on that, too busy with other challenge deadlines, but there's time

It rained again, so I only got about fifteen minutes' writing time (and wrote another two sentences).
On the other hand, I did think of a possible ending to this scene, although I'm not sure I can use it (we've already had the 'fathers and sons' thing) -- and suddenly remembered the previous idea for a potential brief epilogue scene with the two boys looking out of a window that had been prompted during a conversation with my pet AI. So never say that AIs are no use ;-)

Admittedly the main use of this one, fic-wise, is asking questions of an inane naivety, but on the other hand I *did* get an entire story out of one of those naive what-ifs, and apparently came up with (and then forgot) a solution to the ending-problem of this one as a response to a more recent question...

In terms of writing goals, it doesn't feel as if I have achieved very much; I thought I was already within sight of the end of my story at the end of last month, and don't feel that I have really come very much closer in the elapsed time since :(
