Date: Monday, December 1st, 2025 04:41 (UTC)I spent about six hours of today trying to make a lady's glove, and while I learned quite a lot about the construction in the course of my various attempts, I think I'm going to have to take the whole thing apart and start yet again. However as Christmas presents go this one probably shouldn't take more than about a week....
I did manage a bit of typing in the small hours of last night; my manuscript is averaging out at almost exactly 300 words/page, which is the upper end of my estimate and means the story in total is likely to be longer than I had thought.

and the mild panic attack that's happening dw about it this is fineabout why fic didn't get done: my father injured himself *again* on an already delicate relatively-new injury, which meant mom and I had to do some tidying to widen all the walkways in the house. Trying to clear 5+ years' worth of stuff in about 10 hours was not really how I imagined spending my Sunday, but here we are.
