WIP Challenge Day 17, Saturday

I imagine most people are in Christmas mode right now...I completed the bulk of my shopping in just about 4 hours this morning!!

How is your writing today??

Have you been able to write? Are you editing?

Are you dealing with relatives/guests?

Have you been out prepping for the holidays?

And since I also have a birthday to celebrate today (my son turned 16!) there will be no discussion topic. (Sorry.)

It's a slow week. I haven't managed much of anything, just bits and pieces here and there. I'm doubtful whether next week will be any better.

I've been in Christmas mode since Halloween ended. XD

I guiltily confess I have had all the time in the world today and did no writing as of yet. I got caught up in figuring out how to work the movie mode on my camera so I could record myself hand-feeding the birds outside. *hangs head*

I'll make up for it right now by getting off the comp and doing some writing. *nod nod*

I did! And today I should be able to finish what I started, as it's freezing cold outside with a bitter wind and I'd rather stay inside and write.

No writing for me at all today :)

My mum and Brian arrived in Aberdeen earlier today and are here for the next 5 days so the biggest chunk of my time is pretty much taken by them and the various days out we're having. I don't mind, it's not often folk back home come up to see me. They were up at 4:30am to get the early train from Leeds :)

Not done much holiday prep, don't bother with it much - I wrote and sent out cards and my flatmates put some fairy lights in the living room window. All my pressies are still in a big bag and unopened on one the sofas :)

The fics going alright at my end. Ive been both writing and editing (trying to work out ways of making the editing work and finding out why it often doesn't). 750words classed my recently work as 'R', even though there were no sexually explicit scenes lately. I think it might have been for a scene with blood yesterday or perhaps for character swearing.

Christmas hasn't eaten me yet. Nor have the seasonally-deranged clients or the latest tax form. I see I missed several checkins this week, I don't remember how, but I was writing every day. Now, I've just got to get to the posting stage.

I didn't get anything done again today. My time was split between relatives and following up on a job interview. The relatives left this afternoon, but there's still quite a bit of work to do regarding my potential job. I don't predict getting much writing in tomorrow, either.

Got slightly more done Chapter 8 of my Big Bang. I was suppose to be able to get it done today, but pretty much got distract helping around the house and watching a couple movies with my family, haha. Oi now I just realize I probably won't get any writerly stuff done tomorrow as I plan to have a watching marathon for a show with a few of my online friends. O.o Guess I can try to squeeze some editing in before the marathon, but we'll see.

Got 1250 words on my yuletide which I am pleased with but the panic is starting to set in. Just as well it's a fic_rush weekend.
