Right now I wanna kick my coworkers for giving me one of the many colds going around the office. Well, I would kick them except I don't have the energy.
I can TOTALLY keep working on fic when I'm sick, right? Right. Ugh.
I have a bare bones draft of my YT fic, which is good, but it's missing some oomph. I mean, there needs to be severe editing & stuff done, which is only to be expected, but it needs something to give it a punch. Hm. Must continue re-consuming canon in hopes of inspiration.
My Wind Up & Pitch fic is mostly drafted, but again, oomph is needed. :/
I finished and turned in 2 out of 5 essays due over the next week! And wrote a couple hundred words of the one that's due Tuesday (6-8 pages, eek), and checked out some sources for the one due Friday (6-8 pages, but thankfully I already wrote it; I've just to put it in Proper Speech instead of the slangy, midnight-letter-to-a-friend format it's in, and plug in the references. And format the bibliography.)
And did my weekly shopping, and went to a sing-along of Handel's Messiah at church, yes.
At some point (probably after next Friday, when all my papers this semester will be Done for good or ill) I will also be rewriting/polishing my lame little pseudo!Yuletide story that's actually overdue for Help_Haiti, and wishing it had a plot. And maybe working on a last year's NYR that - with my usual sense of spectacularly bad timing - I started just before Yuletide sign-ups opened this year... but I want to write it and the requester probably still wants to read it, so I'm hoping to finish it anyway. Sometime.
Wow, looks like you're nicely on track w/all the stuff you have to take care of (sadly) before fic! Good luck churning through it all. Hopefully your fic-brain is thinking behind the scenes & when you have time to let it out to play it will have some ideas. :)
I sent my YT fic to beta, HOOOOORAY. Hopefully once I get it back I can make myself wrangle it into its final form & then get it posted (especially before the AO3 gets super-crashy as the deadline looms).
Must go back to work on my other challenge fic for this month... ^^;;
