Date: Wednesday, February 1st, 2012 20:56 (UTC)I'd really really like to finish the third part of my Natsume Yuujinchou OT3 futurefic series this month. ;____; We'll see. I've been having tons of trouble w/that too. I'm also going to write whatever prompt I get assigned for the Book of Friends exchange. :D Super looking forward to that!
What's relatively easy for me is banging out tons of words in a first draft. As ever, I struggle w/editing things beyond a first pass (the easy, low-hanging-fruit sort of edit!). Also my ability to gauge OOC-ness seems to be a little wonky lately. :/

Date: Thursday, February 2nd, 2012 01:03 (UTC)I definitely recommend having a beta look things over for you or at least act as a test reader (gauging the strengths and weaknesses of a fic before it's posted). I have the tendency of driving myself mad (Is he in character? Isn't he? IS HE? ACK!) and my beta usually calms me down and either reassures me that it's fine or points out places where I need to fix it.
It's a tough job and I'm lucky enough to have someone lovely do it for me. If you'd like (I don't know the Natsume fandom), I can always give you a second opinion on your work. Wish you the best of luck with editing!
