~1440 words (mostly plotting, some dialogue), so... pretty good. I was hoping to get ~2000 words done today but it's just not meant to be.

Funny you should mention "RL kickin' your butt", because "that time of month" has been pounding me into the ground these last three days. I've found myself wanting to write (more than just plotting) but unable to churn anything out, which is highly unusual, so plotting it is (and to be fair, I've got outlines now for fourteen chapters between two of my WIPs, which is nothing to sneeze at). Some of the plotting involved stretches of dialogue which will help when the actual writing of the chapters comes along. Yay!

As for favourite films/TV shows... "A.I.: Artificial Intelligence" is my favourite movie EVER (I've seen it thirteen times and still cry at the end every damned time), and obviously I enjoy "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine"; other favourite movies include "A Christmas Story", "Lilo and Stitch" and "The Matrix" series, and favourite TV series include "ReBoot" and "Knight Rider" (yeah, I know, real guilty pleasure stuff!). :)

ReBoot! Woot! And Knight Rider! KITT. I *still* want a KITT for myself! :-D

Work was soooooo boring today, but because it was both boring & less-populated by actual coworkers, I was able to write nearly 2k on my Natsume exchange fic. Mind you, a lot of that is my usual writing-&-rewriting of scenes in order to get my head round how I want to approach a story. But I think I made some progress! There may be a slight sprinkling of plot along w/my usual feeeeeeeelings. \o/

I used to rewatch 10 Things I Hate About You a lot, but I think lately my comfort rewatches tend to be various anime series, b/c I can watch an episode or two in a much shorter period of time. Though if I'm really in a mood I will watch an episode of the j-drama Tumbling too, even though it's longer!

I'm on a writing groove! It's awesome! Granted, I've only written 500 words today, and I've been at it several hours, but it's a terribly difficult scene for me (= sex), so I'm happy that I'm making progress at all. They have already managed to take their shirts off!

Sex-scenes usually bore me, (reading *and* writing), so... Mostly? I just fade to black. ;-)

I've mostly written fade-to-black in the past, but this scene was important character development-wise, so I had to write it. Of course, my characters decided halfway through that they're not having sex after all. They got naked and all and then one of them balked. So, no sex, which means that I still have to write the scene where they are actually having sex. *sigh*

Don't you just refuse it when characters refuse to do what you need them to? I wrote an original fic, and all of a sudden a bit-player decided to pretty much take over the story. Then my main character had a nervous breakdown, and there was really no recovering from that... XD

Well last night I started what is almost certain to be an absolutely crack-tastic piece of Sherlock shipping fluff. I'm writing it from behind my fingers, because this is gonna be painful. :)

One of my most favorite movies of all time is Singin' in the Rain. Also the Kenneth Branagh "Much Ado About Nothing". I can watch either one at any time and just be joyful.

Branagh and Shakespeare. Match made in heaven. I adore his Hamlet, although it really is a monster of a movie. :-)

Writing today: meh. I figured out how to get on the IRC channel through Trillian and I've been hanging out there since I woke up.

Word count: ~1400

The Young Victoria! I know it's rife with historical inaccuracy, just like any other pretty period movie, but it's still, I don't know. I keep coming back to it. As for a show: Firefly. ALWAYS.

I started out being kinda 'meh' about the whole concept of Firefly, because cowboys. In space. But then I watched it and it was Whedon's usually cracktastic kind of show, and I got hooked. It was a criminal cancel. Criminal. :-(

Me too! It actually took me a couple of tries to get past the first episode. But once I did, man oh man. Criminal is the best way to put it. :(

It didn't go at all. Meh.

And my favourite film of all time has to be Master and Commander: The Far side of the World AKA M&C. I can watch that and find something new in it almost every time. It's visually and thematically - and musically - absolutely wonderful!

If you're around in about half an hour, with access to a DVD of the film, there's a very fannish event going on over at [community profile] mandc_watch: a bunch of us are watching through the film together all at the same time, all round the world...

(At least, I'm seriously hoping to get there because I think dinner's going to be late. Meh.)

Not too bad today! I finished and posted something that's been lingering in WIP for over a year, and I've finally had workable ideas for another.

The one show I seem to be able to watch whenever/wherever is Cheers. It's hard to think of a single episode I won't sit down to watch if it happens to be on.

Pretty good, I'd say. Today Hotch and JJ (the secret werewolf) had conversation about why Hotch feels all magical creatures needs ot die. Needless to say, JJ doesn't share that view... XD

Movies, god. Too many, really. I love Master and Commander (because; tall ships and Napoleonic wars, I am a sucker). I adore Treasure Island tales for much the same reasons (only, you know, exchange Napoleonic wars with pirates!); Muppet Treasure Island, Treasure Planet...

As for TV-shows... God. So, so many. Buffy, Stargate, Star Trek (TOS more than anything), Babylon 5, Andromeda, Xena, The West Wing, Firefly and on and on. Recently, of course, Criminal Minds and White Collar are my absolute favorites. My favorite guilty pleasures are the Sentinel (oh, so good for something so bad!), and MacGyver just because Richard Dean Anderson, even with a bad mullet and the worst in 80's clothing is still insanely hot when he's mucking about with half-baked science. And Children of Dune, the mini-series. Because a) it's Dune and b) hello there James MacAvoy!

Oh, and let's not forget the Nanny, which I'll still watch a couple of episodes of when I feel like something light-hearted, yet at the same time wonderfully angsty. It's like fanfic! XD

The Nanny is the best show ever! Watching it always makes me nostalgic for bad nineties hair and shoulder pads.

Niles and CC's epic snark still cracks me up. And CC's pregnancy. Best handled non-handled pregnancy in history. "I hate when they try to hide a pregnant actor by having her wear oversized clothes and carrying around large, strategically placed briefcases." at which point she picks up her own absurdly oversized briefcase and positions it strategically... XD

Was a general layabout today. Got home from work and dived into the TV because today is FRIDAY! I plan to do some writing later on for my big bang so the word count isn't a total loss.

I have a really, really difficult time picking out favorite films or TV shows because I love all of them so much and I can't decide. I do have to say, there's an episode of Doctor Who (the first two episodes of S2) that I habitually watch because it feels good, much in the same way that ice cream and pie after a long, long day feels good. It's comfort TV. It hits all the right spots, I don't spend too much time thinking about it and I have pretty much all the lines memorized. Good, staying, hot stuff.

Of all the who, I think the Titanic-special (aside from the Doctor Dances) is probably my favorite. Just because it's so epically overdone. Have you seen it with My Little Ponies? Just a minute-long clip, but it's so, so funny. XD

I spent my writing time today going back over what I wrote yesterday and fleshing out a few parts that were rather bare bones. It was probably about two or three hundred words worth, but I can't be totally sure. I'm planning on staying up just a little bit longer, so I may wind up writing a bit more, too.

300 words of porn battle fic which I'm happy with given it's a friday and I'm knackered.

Stuff like CSI, Location, location, location, Taggart I will sit down and watch an episode whenever it's on tv, regardless of how many times I've seen it. Babylon 5 is one I like to have a rewatch of fairly regularly, so is Inspector Lynley Mysteries (which is probably my very favourite at the moment).

Generally speaking there is only one film (I'm not a big fan of films) that I will rewatch time and time again and that is You've Got Mail.

Bleh, Thursday or Friday haven't done any writerly stuff due to distractions from family and needing to take care some things. Once again though thought about changes for my Big Bang, so today (Saturday and yes I'm late :x ) I'll see about playing around with that. And maybe get my lazy butt and look over/edit my help_japan. :x

There are quite a few shows/movies I love. Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Lucky Star, The Simspons (only certain episodes here and there), The Italian Job, Collateral, Lord of the Ring trilogy, and there are probably others I can't think at the moment.
