Wrote more for the idea I started on yesterday. I think I now need to take a bit of rest for that idea and actually let my mind catch up with what I've written, and let things stew in my brain for what's going to happen next.

I am editing a chapter I meant to post today, but will probably wait until tomorrow because I am tired and lazy and it's almost bedtime.
That said, I've had an awful month so this is pleasing me. Also, I am now planning/researching a new semi-large-ish fic (many installments of shorter pieces, I think) for one of my OT3s. Because I think I've forgotten how to write for couples in the midst of my drama-fic. >.<;;

The best compliment I get... I'm torn between two. One is when people tell me they got into one fandom through one of my ridiculous crossovers (here I used to HATE them, now I write them constantly) or find a character they're unfamiliar with great.
The other is when people who don't ship my favorite pairings say they enjoyed the fic. I don't need to convert, but hearing somebody give a fic a shot and enjoy it despite the pairing gives me a smile.

They are! I have such a blast now, going "I wonder what would happen if I put Character A into Scenario B..." (Power Rangers/InuYasha! Power Rangers/Pern! Power Rangers/MLP/Pokemon/InuYasha/Sailor Moon/taking suggestions!)

I love the pairing thing too (when people try a new pairing out and enjoy it). :D

I wrote and posted Chapter Six and Chapter Seven of "Sway", with new material that amounts to almost 3000 words and finally got The Boys through their dinner conversation. :)

The best compliment that comes immediately to mind was an occasion recently where a reader of "When the Farsei Blooms" (Garak/Bashir, NC-17, WIP currently at 143,387 words) emailed me to say that they'd started reading the fic one evening and couldn't stop reading it until 5 AM when they literally couldn't keep their eyes open any longer... and then they only slept long enough to be able to start reading again because they HAD to know what was going to happen next! I figure if I can tell a story that good, I'm doing something right. :)

Oh. Yeah, that's a good one. I've done that with fic, just once. It's the fic that convinced me that slash was actually a pretty darn good thing. :)

I did that once (read a fic over the course of 24 with limited sleep in between). @_@ Awesome that you wrote that fic for someone!

Today is a sucky day, for a bunch of reasons, so I doubt I'll get anything substantial (if anything at all!) done on any of my WIPs. :/

I think the best compliment I've gotten might've been someone saying that, while reading my fic, she could see it as if it were animated b/c it felt so much like an episode of canon to her.

Best compliment ever... It was while I was still at LJ and someone said that something I wrote was - I can't remember the exact words, but it was something like "I can't believe that's not canon." (The fandoms I write in all have screen adaptations from book series, and my writing very often takes more from the books than the onscreen versions).

I can't remember who said it or where, and I've since deleted my LJ and my fic LJs so it's not like I can go back and look it up, either. *sadface*

That's a nice compliment. I've had people say "the feels like/could be canon," but I don't think I've have that one. :D

I wrote something today! I had a short tale due for a challenge, so when I had a window of opportunity this morning, I wrote it up and posted it -- 844 words! Now I just need to do the same thing for my WIP chapters. ;-)

The best compliment I've received is having people tell me I write like Tolkien. Since I write a lot of Tolkien-based fic, that's pretty high praise -- and actually the ultimate goal!

Yuujinchou Exchange Bonus Treat #2 (due Mar 24): First draft complete and sent to beta. Waiting for edits.

Yuujinchou Exchange Bonus Treat #3 (due Mar 24): 214 new words. Of course, after writing the opening, I came up with a better opening. I'm not sure I can save any of what I wrote, but oh well. Current word count: 214

Help_Japan (due 18 years ago - 750 word min): No new words. I promise to give this love after the Yuujinchou exchange stops eating my brain. O.o Current word count: 3,666

Working on edits for my buddy. Also, more prompts and pinch hits will be revealed for the Yuujinchou exchange soon, so we'll see if I get bit again before getting back into my Help Japan. ^^;

Hm, at risk of sounding braggy (but I think we all will be if we're answering this, haha), I think my favorite compliments are when people note my characterization and how true something feels to the series, while at the same time making them see something about the character(s) that they hadn't considered before. I also enjoy when people say nice things about my world building. :D

Mostly outlining today. Finally know what I'm doing with the remaining prompt that was bugging me. Won't be doing anything with the outline I got down tonight though (I'm too distracted by Kate Miller-Heidke's new video to do anything.)

It's between This was gorgeous... Too bad I won't see any more Angel from you! This fic was delicious! and I can't tell you're dyslexic. I get the second a lot in RL.

Welp. The boys are having a fight, so that's something at least happening in the writing tonight. Not much, just a few hundred words, but it gives me a hook to hang the next story on.

Lots of planning going on today and all this week, really. I'm slowly but surely inching my way towards tackling the Giant Sex, Drugs, and Rock & Roll Sherlock AU of Doom (that's just a tentative title, you understand :)).

I think the best compliment I ever got on my writing was when my best friend was reading my novel-in-progress (which is now probably forever stalled at the first draft stage) and told me that she kept forgetting that *I*, the person she'd known for 20 years, had written it. :)

Haven't done any writerly stuff today as had a long day, so I pretty much read some Big Bang fics lol. I might try to do god_tier, but I'm just not feeling it tonight.

Speaking of Big Bang, my beta haven't got back to me her edits for Chapters 6 and 7 yet. It could be a chance she'll send them to me by tomorrow, but if that's the case I won't be able to finish editing Chapters 6 and 7 by March 17. enemytosleep, are you okay with me posting Chapters 1-5 on the 17th and then the rest as soon as my beta sends me back Chapters 6 and 7? I really don't want to do this, but I don't feel comfortable posting the draft versions of Chapters 6 and 7 yet. D:

I did 1.5K on my Matrix-inspired idea. I have problems with it, but just getting words down is good.

My best compliment I receive is that my beta complimented me for my subtle allusion and kept thinking of the story even after betaing.

I didn't write today :c Had work training and then a boatload of errands and cleaning to do afterwards...

Have mostly been thinking on how to proceed with the revived drabble series. Also: plot bunnies have been taking over this week! o.O I haven't written consistently in the months prior to this one, and I think getting back into a semi-steady routine has helped with sparking more ideas. It's nice even if I'm not able to finish much in the end.

Best compliment...well, basically all the comments I have gotten for this Soul Calibur fic have been absolutely wonderful and generous and still make me blush when I read them. The story itself has a number of flaws in retrospect, but I'm glad that people find the characters' motivations and the overall progression successful and worth reading. ^^;;
